High-impact social selling campaign – aligning sales and marketing
Earlier this year, the Your Allies team, along with the sales and marketing guys at Lyreco UK & Ireland, were looking back having run a successful social selling and new business campaign. We’d helped pull high-impact marketing content together, repurposing it for sales to help give them greater visibility on LinkedIn.
In tandem we built a supporting social selling strategy, walking the sales teams through social selling techniques that would help them get better traction with their target audiences. Coupled with that, we created a killer communications guide, packed full of highly-personalised connection request messages and follow-up communications that helped open doors and strike up valuable new conversations over time.
Taking centre stage at Lyreco’s Sales Convention, Linsay and Karen took the salesforce through social selling coaching, showing the good things that happen when ABM and LinkedIn are coupled up.
The results were delightful – sales teams adopting valuable social selling behaviours which in turn led to network growth, better quality sales conversations and overall increased visibility on LinkedIn. The campaign helped shorten the sales lead time, while generating 491% ROI over a 12-week period.
The sales teams on average saw their SSI scores increase by 40% while 75% of the teams reached the very top quadrant of LinkedIn’s SSI score (70 to 100 points).
